Manual bank account setup
Manual setup lets you create a bank account directly in rAInty without connecting it to your bank via authorisation.
This option is useful in two situations: when your bank is not available for direct connection, or when you prefer to register the account manually and manage transactions at a later stage.
Steps
- Open the sidebar and go to the Banking section.
- Click the Add account button.
- Choose the Manual setup option.
- Enter the account name.
- Enter the details that help identify it: bank name, account label, currency and optional notes.
- Save the account.
The account will appear in the list of bank accounts in rAInty.
What you can do with a manual account
A manual account works in the same way as an account with a direct connection: you can match transactions to rent instalments, expenses, utility bills and other items automatically.
The only difference is how transactions enter rAInty. With direct connection, syncing happens automatically. With a manual account, you need to export transactions in CSV format from your online banking and import them into rAInty. Once imported, transactions are treated exactly like those from a directly connected account.
